We have just returned from a fantastic live aboard fishing trip away in the islands of Vanuatu. We were lucky enough to welcome back out long time clients and friends Stuart Miller and Phillip Smith, and to meet the new faces of Colin Thompson and Stuart's son Zak Miller. This group of guys have waited a long time for their trip due to our unfortunate engine issues of last year. Thankfully Nambas is now back better than ever and the guys patience paid off.
After the recent unwelcome visit of Cyclone Oma the water here is still hot, and the fishing challenging with fish staying deep in search of cooler water. The guys didn't let this stop them...they worked hard on the Jigging and got a lot of bites. As usual when chasing Dogtooth in Vanuatu there are lots of unstoppable monsters and the guys got reamed a lot, with screaming hot Stellas a common sight. The guys showed great determination and managed to get some nice fish in the boat. It wasn't just Dogtooth we were after and as always in Vanuatu the variety of fish species is huge, most of which pull hard. The guys caught Wahoo, Trevallys, Jobfish, Yellowfin Tuna and many more which kept everyone on their toes.
We had a great time and can't wait to see the guys for their trip next year.
