We just got back from a 5 day trip with Ross Bicknell & Michael McArthur from the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club. They had both fished in Vanuatu many times before, and this trip they had their sights set on some big Doggies. Well as you can see by the pictures they certainly got what the were after ! The biggest one was 58 kg which is a cracking fish by anyone’s standards. They also caught numerous others up to 45 kg, 2 blue marlin, a bunch of wahoo, some nice yellowfin and a giant barracuda. All in all it was a great trip in flat calm seas with lots of big fish caught and some even bigger ones seen. The guys were an absolute pleasure to fish with and I’m already looking forward to the next trip.
